Instagrammish - Photos and Filters
This assignment brought an entire new perspective to me about instagram filters. I rarely post photos with filters, but if I do, I usually just glance over most of them until I pick one that I feel looks the most natural. However, I have come to the realization that instagram filters can serve much more of a purpose than to just make people's eyes look bluer or their skin look tanner. They can add a specific tone or mood to a photo, than not even positioning or photo can inflict. When deciding what type of filter I wanted to create, I wanted something that could emphasize certain aspects of the photo that I originally did not capture, such as color and highlights. What did I use in Photoshop? When deciding how I wanted to make my filter, I knew the first thing that I should tackle was curves.
